Job summary

Snap Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer, iOS to join Snap Inc. in New York City.

You will create and refine high performance mobile apps, design and implement Objective-C software powering Snapchat’s camera, and launch new features with careful attention to UI and infrastructure best practices. Preferred candidates will have 6+ years of post‑Bachelor’s experience, strong iOS development background, and familiarity with OpenGL/Metal and AI-assisted tooling.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• 6+ years of post-Bachelor’s software development experience; or advanced degree with 5+ years post-grad exp; or PhD with 2+ years.
• Experience with iOS application development.

Responsibilities

• Create and refine high performance mobile apps for iOS.
• Build stable, new features for Snapchat’s camera.
• Design, architect and implement Objective-C software powering camera experiences.
• Conceptualize, develop, and launch new features.
• Evaluate technical tradeoffs of decisions.
• Collaborate with Design for UI and infrastructure practices.
• Carry out code reviews to guarantee code quality.
• Leverage AI tools to design and ship scalable services with security and performance in mind.
