Job summary

EPAM Systems is seeking a Senior iOS Software Engineer to build and maintain high-performance mobile banking apps using modern iOS technologies. You will contribute to architecture, optimize performance, and uphold code quality, security, and reliability.

You will lead UI development with SwiftUI, implement concurrency, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust solutions while mentoring junior engineers and ensuring best practices.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial iOS development experience.
• Strong knowledge of Swift, including generics, protocol-oriented programming, and ARC.
• Hands-on experience with SwiftUI and the iOS SDK.
• Strong understanding of Swift Concurrency and GCD.
• Experience with MVVM and Dependency Injection.
• Experience integrating REST APIs; knowledge of GraphQL is a plus.
• Experience with Keychain, UserDefaults, caching, and Core Data.
• Experience with XCTest and XCUITest.
• Strong knowledge of Xcode debugging tools, Instruments, and Memory Graph Debugger.
• Experience with Git, Swift Package Manager (SPM), and CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to code quality.
• Experience in banking or FinTech projects will be considered an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain complex iOS application functionality.
• Design and evolve scalable, maintainable application architecture.
• Build modern user interfaces using SwiftUI.
• Implement asynchronous operations using Swift Concurrency and GCD.
• Integrate backend services through REST APIs and implement application analytics.
• Implement secure local storage and caching mechanisms.
• Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks, performance issues, and memory leaks.
• Develop and maintain unit and UI tests.
• Participate in code reviews and promote engineering best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Mentor junior and middle-level engineers and share technical expertise.
