Job summary

Square is seeking a senior iOS engineer to drive Neighborhoods on Cash App and Square Point of Sale. You will shape the technical direction for mobile experiences, lead cross‑team decisions, and stay hands‑on with SwiftUI and related technologies to deliver reliable, scalable features.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and design, and explore AI‑driven workflows to accelerate delivery while preserving product taste and maintainability.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience with iOS engineering design and implementation, including deep Swift and Objective‑C experience.
• Experience leading iOS architecture with unidirectional data flow, declarative UI frameworks, and scalable mobile patterns.
• Experience leading medium‑to‑large, multi‑person mobile initiatives that cross team boundaries, including applying AI tools to improve engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead major Neighborhoods mobile workstreams across Cash App and Square.
• Drive cross‑team architecture and execution to deliver seamless integration of Neighborhoods features.
• Stay hands‑on in iOS development using SwiftUI, Workflow, and related technologies.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar for the team.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to define product scope and tradeoffs.
• Lead as an AI‑native product engineer and apply AI tools throughout development.
