Job summary

CVS Health is seeking a Senior Software Engineer on iOS to build native chat and AI-powered experiences. You will design, implement, and optimize high-quality iOS apps using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit, with real-time messaging, markdown rendering, and secure data handling.

You will collaborate with backend teams, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers while delivering scalable, accessible, and performant mobile solutions in a large enterprise environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 5+ years experience in native iOS development.
• Expert proficiency in Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Strong experience with real-time messaging applications, WebSockets, and push notifications.
• Experience building dynamic rich UI with markdown and rich-content rendering.
• Knowledge of mobile performance optimization, testing, and CI/CD.
• Experience with accessible mobile experiences (VoiceOver, Dynamic Type).
• Secure mobile development (OAuth 2.0, secure token management, Keychain).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain native iOS applications using Swift, SwiftUI, and UIKit.
• Build scalable chat and collaboration experiences, including messaging, notifications, presence, typing indicators, rich media, and offline sync.
• Design and integrate RESTful APIs with backend teams on service contracts and architecture.
• Create dynamic UIs with Markdown rendering, rich text, links, mentions, and code blocks.
• Develop AI-powered conversational experiences leveraging LLMs and streaming responses.
• Ensure performance, reliability, accessibility, and security standards.
• Mentor engineers and participate in architecture reviews to improve engineering excellence.
