Job summary

NewsBreak is seeking an experienced iOS engineer to own the ad functionality in the app and our publisher SDK. You’ll ensure ads load, render, and behave correctly across native formats and external networks, while maintaining viewability and revenue signals.

You’ll manage the client-side mediation layer, upgrade and integrate Google/Meta SDKs, and respond to production issues, with a strong focus on measurements from experiments and revenue impact.

Qualifications

• 3 years of production iOS development in Swift and/or Objective-C.
• Owned a meaningful module end to end — design, implementation, launch, and impact.
• Experience with ad rendering standards (MRAID/OMID) or similar in native apps.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain iOS ad functionality across our app and publisher SDK.
• Own ad rendering and experience for rich-media and native formats.
• Own viewability and revenue-signaling accuracy across partners.
• Own client-side mediation: request, prioritize, cache, and fall back across sources.
• Integrate external ad SDKs (Google, Meta) through upgrades and platform changes.
• Maintain production health for the iOS ad stack and diagnose issues.
• Measure impact by shipping behind experiments and proving revenue effects.
