Job summary

Apple Inc. in Seattle, WA is seeking an iOS Analytics Software Engineer to design and implement high-impact features for professional video editing apps on iOS and macOS.

You will own instrumentation frameworks, implement telemetry with privacy in mind, and collaborate across engineering, product, and cross-functional teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions. Strong Swift/ObjC fundamentals and system-level thinking are essential.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience with SwiftUI/Swift or UIKit/AppKit
• At home in large, mature, ObjC codebases
• Strong understanding of fundamentals: OOP, design patterns, data structures, algorithms
• Track record of owning a framework, SDK, or shared component end to end
• Proven ability to break down large features into practical, implementable solutions
• Experience working on large, cross-functional, multi-team projects
• Excellent verbal and written communication in a collaborative environment
• Self-directed problem solver who can work independently and drive initiatives to completion

Responsibilities

• Taking end-to-end ownership of shared instrumentation frameworks, from API design to CI pipelines to client integration
• Implementing telemetry in Swift that is stable, accurate, performant, and privacy-conscious
• Analyzing usage data to inform decisions, surface trends, and identify opportunities
• Collaborating with cross-functional partners in engineering, product, and beyond to deliver features together
• Writing clean, well-tested code that sets the standard for quality and maintainability
