Job summary

CLA Wealth Advisory in Minneapolis is seeking a senior investment due diligence analyst to lead comprehensive evaluations of managers across public and private markets, and to contribute to research and client education.

The role requires CFA and multiple licenses, 4+ years of experience, and offers engagement with Investment Committee and market insights, with full-time in-office work and limited travel.

Qualifications

• Four or more years of relevant investment industry experience.
• Experience in investment due diligence, manager research, or institutional consulting.
• Experience evaluating both public and private market investment strategies.
• Experience in conducting investment manager meetings and preparing recommendations.
• Experience within an RIA, institutional consulting firm, family office, wealth management platform, or related environment.
• CFA Charterholder required; Series 7, 63, 65, or 66 licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Lead investment due diligence for public and private strategies across the CLA platform.
• Conduct qualitative and quantitative evaluation of investment managers.
• Analyze manager financial statements, capital structure and profitability.
• Evaluate investment vehicle structures (SMAs, mutual and private funds, CITs, etc.).
• Lead manager meetings and due diligence calls; document findings.
• Prepare due diligence reports and presentation memos for Investment Committee.
• Present findings to senior leadership and committee members.
• Monitor approved managers and strategies; identify developments.
• Maintain due diligence databases and scorecards.
• Coordinate internal review processes with compliance, operations, trading.
• Develop strategic asset allocation and portfolio construction research.
• Publish investment research insights including CLA Outlook.
