Farm Bureau Financial Services seeks an Investment Accounting Manager to lead a skilled team responsible for accounting and reporting for its diverse investment portfolio. You will partner with Finance, Treasury, and external auditors to ensure SAP and GAAP compliance while driving continuous improvement.

The role emphasizes people development, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic financial insights to support decision-making. A CPA and 8+ years of experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance preferred.
• CPA designation preferred.
• 8+ years’ relevant experience.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Advanced knowledge of insurance statutory accounting (SAP) and GAAP.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team responsible for accounting and reporting for the investment portfolio.
• Oversee financial reporting, analysis, and governance of investments.
• Partner with Finance, Treasury, Investment Management, Actuarial, and external auditors.
• Drive process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and controls.
• Support internal and external audits and regulatory inquiries.
