Core Specialty Insurance Holdings, Inc. is seeking an Accounting Senior to join our investment team in Cincinnati, OH. You will ensure data accuracy in Clearwater and record investment transactions in the general ledger on GAAP and statutory bases for six standalone insurers.

The role involves monthly and quarterly GAAP and statutory reporting, collaborating with legal, vendors, and state departments, and supporting audit and board materials.

Qualifications

BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
3+ years accounting or auditing experience.
Prefer experience in insurance industry.
CPA designation is a plus.

Responsibilities

Monitor daily investment activity using Clearwater.
Review monthly investment reconciliations (custodian, Clearwater, Workday).
Prepare GAAP and statutory investment journal entries for six insurers.
Assist in quarterly GAAP and statutory reporting and board materials.
Support audits and maintain procedural documentation.
