Senior Investment Accountant

We are partnering with a rapidly growing asset management company who is looking for a highly motivated Senior Investment Accountant to join their close-knit, dynamic team. This individual will be essential in supporting the business by providing accounting and financial reporting services for the company's managed funds. The ideal candidate is a driven, self-starter with a strong understanding of the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the accounting and reporting for the company's investment portfolios, including equities, fixed income, derivatives, and alternative investments.
• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual investment accounting reports ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
• Monitor and analyze investment performance, identifying trends and variances, and providing insights to management.
• Perform monthly reconciliations of investment accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and monthly NAV statements, including support of the annual audit cycle and preparation of tax information.
• Prepare investor allocations and reporting, including calculation of management and incentive fees.
• Assist with presentations for LP meetings, due diligence, and lender requests.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA, MBA, or CFA designation preferred.
• 3+ years of relevant finance experience, preferably at a financial institution (i.e. investment bank, hedge fund, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and statutory accounting principles.
• Proficiency in investment accounting software and financial reporting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
