Qualifications

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Public Safety Management, or a closely-related field from an accredited four-year college or university.
  • Five years of full-time paid investigative experience, with at least three years in evidence gathering, witness interviewing, and case file maintenance.
  • A valid State of Ohio driver's license is required.
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Public Safety Management, or a closely-related field.
  • Preferred: experience in administrative investigations of police misconduct.
  • Preferred: experience using IAPro.
  • Preferred: one year of supervisory/management experience.
