Job summary

Fort Worth ISD seeks an Investigations Specialist to conduct complex investigations of misconduct and policy violations for applicants, employees, substitutes, volunteers, and contractors. You will coordinate with principals, law enforcement, and social services, and prepare reports for dispositions, hearings, and terminations.

The role involves interviewing witnesses, maintaining thorough records, and presenting summaries to leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in criminal justice, law enforcement, DFPS/CPS, employment law, or employee relations.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex investigations of alleged misconduct, policy violations, and/or criminal histories.
• Interact with principals, supervisors, law enforcement, and social services as needed.
• Prepare and present written/verbal summaries and hearing evidence.
• Interview witnesses, victims, or alleged actors who may be emotional or evasive.
• Maintain investigation files in OPS database and ensure compliance with policies.
