Job summary

State of Hawai'i, Department of Human Services, is seeking qualified candidates for permanent, full-time Investigator positions in the Ewa/Honolulu area. Level III and Level IV duties include conducting investigations, gathering evidence, preparing reports, and, for Level IV, potential supervision of investigations within the agency's jurisdiction.

Qualifications

• Progressively responsible professional investigative experience demonstrating initiative and judgment.
• Ability to analyze facts, evidence and related information to reach sound conclusions.
• Skill in written and oral reports and presentation of investigation findings clearly.
• Tact, discretion and ability to gain cooperation and confidence of others.

Responsibilities

• Level III: conduct investigations, gather and develop facts, prepare reports, and handle inquiries within agency jurisdiction.
• Level IV: independently perform and/or supervise investigations, coordinate with law enforcement, and prepare thorough investigative reports.
