Descrizione del lavoro

Diligentia Group is a small investigative firm in Westchester County, New York. We work for law firms, businesses, and investors. Clients hire us for background investigations, due diligence, asset searches, witness locates, and litigation support. They need answers they can rely on, delivered on time and on budget.

We’re looking for an analyst who can own cases from start to finish and strengthen the team.

About Us

Diligentia Group is a small investigative firm in Westchester County, New York. We work for law firms, businesses, and investors. Clients hire us for background investigations, due diligence, asset searches, witness locates, and litigation support. They need answers they can rely on, delivered on time and on budget.

We’re looking for an analyst who can own cases from start to finish and strengthen the team.

A Small Team, On Purpose

We’re a small team by design. Every person matters, and every person’s work shows. You’ll work directly with the firm’s founder, who has more than 25 years of investigative experience, learning firsthand how complex investigations are scoped, researched, and delivered. There are no layers of management or bureaucracy. You'll get real feedback, meaningful responsibility, and the opportunity to develop your skills while working on challenging cases.

The work is varied, from complex litigation and asset investigations to locating hard-to-find people and conducting due diligence for investors. No two cases are quite the same. We're a collaborative team where good ideas matter, regardless of who comes up with them. We also rely on each other. When a teammate needs help to hit a deadline, everyone pitches in.

The Role

Most of our matters come with a defined question, budget, and deadline. Your job is to find the answer, stay within budget, and deliver a report the client can act on. That client might be a trial lawyer or an investor deciding whether to write a check.

The hard part of this work isn’t finding information. It’s knowing which information matters, knowing when there’s enough, and stopping there. We’re looking for someone who can read 300 pages of records and identify the four things that matter. The best analysts here like the hunt, but they love the answer.

What You’ll Do
  • Research people and companies using public records, court filings, corporate records, commercial databases, and social media
  • Write clear, client-ready reports that answer the question asked
  • Manage multiple cases, meeting deadlines and staying within budget.
  • Work alongside the team, sharing cases, handing off work, and pitching in when deadlines stack up
  • Locate witnesses, conduct occasional interviews, and do fieldwork when needed
What We’re Looking For
  • You like getting to the answer, and you know when you’ve found it
  • You can look at a pile of records and see the story that matters to the client
  • You take ownership of your cases, from first search to final report
  • You’re comfortable on the phone with courts, agencies, sources, and witnesses
  • You enjoy being part of a small team where people count on each other
  • Nice to Have: Experience at a law firm or investigative firm, a CFE, or litigation support work.
Experience and Skills
  • Exceptional writing skills. You can turn complicated research into a clear, concise report that tells the client what matters and why.
  • 3+ years in investigative research, due diligence, litigation support, or similar work
  • Strong experience with U.S. public records: litigation, corporate filings, property, and regulatory records
  • Comfort with LexisNexis, TLO, or similar investigative databases
  • Social media and OSINT skills
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant professional experience
What This Role Isn’t

This is practical casework, not open-ended research. Every matter has a client waiting for an answer and a budget attached. The best analysts here like the hunt, but they love the answer.

How We Hire

Finalists complete a short, paid research assignment with a set budget and deadline. It’s the best way for both sides to see whether the fit is right.

Work Environment

This is a hybrid position with three days per week in our Northern Westchester office (Katonah, New York). Salary ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, plus profit sharing (approximately 5%), a 401(k) with company match, medical benefits, three weeks of paid time off, including a week during the holidays.
