Job summary

Advocate Health in Naperville, IL, is seeking a part-time Inventory Analyst to support the Cardiac Cath Lab. The role focuses on cost-effective inventory maintenance, procurement coordination, and vendor relations within ASLMC Services.

You will work 2 four-hour shifts weekly (8 hours total), emphasizing accuracy, data reporting, and cross-functional collaboration with corporate purchasing and healthcare teams.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate with focus on practical inventory tasks.
• Typically requires 5 years of experience in inventory management and distribution in a health care setting.
• Working knowledge of computerized purchasing and/or materials management/distribution systems.
• Excellent communication, human relations, and analytical skills.
• Self-motivated and detail oriented; basic computer skills in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains cost effective maintenance and monitoring programs for inventory.
• Coordinates inventory levels across sites and serves as main contact for inter-facility transfers.
• Resolves procurement issues including vendor disputes and expedited orders.
• Reviews inventory data, suggests optimization and cost-saving opportunities.
• Maintains product catalogs and tracks vendor credits and exchanges.
• Collaborates with Corporate Purchasing to review requisitions and ensure deliveries.
• Produces usage and cost reports for management and purchasing.
