Job summary

InnovAge Holding Corp. in Boulder, CO is seeking a Senior Inventory Associate who will also serve as Lead Pharmacy Technician. The role includes receiving and stocking merchandise, and overseeing workflow and scheduling of technicians in the pharmacy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Technician and oversee workflow management and scheduling of technicians.
• Fill prescriptions under the direction of the Pharmacist; handle, count, mix and package medications.
• Operate and monitor automation equipment and labeling for dispensing prescriptions.
• Prepare blister packs and stage supplies; manage daily POs and invoices.
• Review stock for expired medications and replacements; support cycle counts.
• Assist with SOX audits and retrieval of information as needed; provide guidance to technicians.

Job description

The Senior Inventory Associate performs duties associated with receiving and stocking merchandise and clerical tasks related to purchasing, inventory, auditing and ordering. This role also serves as a Lead Pharmacy Technician and provides guidance and oversee workflow management and scheduling of technicians.

Essential Functions and Work Responsibilities

• Serve as Lead Technician
• Receives prescription orders, weekly batches or refill requests and accurately and efficiently fills the prescriptions under the direction of the Pharmacist. Performs pharmacy tasks such as handling, counting, mixing and packaging medications.
• Is responsible for selecting and importing orders for automation equipment dispensing, printing labels, and order management required to dispense prescriptions. Operates and monitors robotic machines that dispense medications.
• Assists in entering minor edits to record correct dispensing quantity and manufacturer NDC used to dispense prescription order.
• Prepares blister packs.
• Prepares and stages pharmaceutical supplies and drugs in the correct baskets and properly labels them for delivery.
• Performs reclamation duties.
• Uses pharmacy software to check and/record data about prescriptions
• Oversees workflow management for pharmacy technicians in assigned location
• Schedules rotations of pharmacy technicians
• Receiving merchandise putting merchandise in appropriate location
• Reviewing stock for expired medications and replacing
• Assist with automation process
• Submission of daily PO’s and invoices
• Weekly and monthly statement reconciliations
• Understanding the abilities, services, navigation and reports within systems
• Handling compound decrements

Qualifications

Education

• 1 year of Lead Pharmacy Technician experience.
• Six months of inventory experience in a similar role.
• One year of inventory experience in a similar role (Preferred).
• 1 year of experience in pharmacy (Preferred).

Other Skills and Abilities

• Ability to compile, code, categorize, calculate and verify data; count, measure and weigh Rx components
• Subject Matter Expert in all aspects of TRHC pharmacy automation in order to assist and answer any technician operational duties from other staff technicians
• Ability to professionally guide a team and exhibit appropriate leadership behaviors
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally through written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Proficient with MS Office Suite
• Ability to accurately count items in numerical sequence
• Must have a patient-centered focus
• Strong computer proficiency to navigate proprietary and other software

Expected Hours of Work: Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
