Job summary

The Home Depot is seeking a Store Inventory Accountant in the Atlanta area to help ensure financial accuracy of inventory, including markdowns, shrink, and Deferred Sales. You will own impacts to inventory balances and partner with Finance, Accounting, and operations to resolve fluctuations.

The role requires a 2+ year background in accounting/finance, knowledge of GAAP, and proficiency with Excel and ERP systems; CPA progression preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent degree.
• 2+ years of work experience in accounting/finance roles.
• CPA progression preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns markdown/shrink impacts to inventory balances and supports Retail Math calculations.
• Troubleshoots IT and operations issues affecting inventory accuracy.
• Provides ad hoc analytical support to finance and field partners.
• Collaborates with Finance, Accounting and operations on inventory fluctuations.
• Supports continuous improvement efforts and special projects.
