Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a business or technical discipline.
• 3+ years experience in pipeline operations/nomination/confirmation/scheduling or related areas.
• Prior leadership/managerial experience preferred.
• Knowledge of NAESB Standards related to nominations, confirmations, scheduling.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to interact with many stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide management, training, and delegation of responsibilities across a team of pipeline schedulers.
• Responsible for interpretation of tariff and company policy with respect to nominations, meter allocations, customer service and scheduling natural gas transportation/storage across the Kinder Morgan interstate pipelines.
• Maintain practices, processes, and procedures, which encourage teamwork and decision making while minimizing uncertainty.
• Advise Scheduling Representatives in issue resolution with customers which will require after-hours calls at times.
• Oversee daily scheduling tasks across both the day and night teams for transportation and storage services using DART.
• Monitor point flows at key locations on the pipeline system.
• Monitor and comply with all SOX processes related to customers’ imbalances, including both transportation and operational balancing agreements (OBA).
• Management contact for shippers, point operators, pipeline field personnel and Gas Control concerning specific interconnect issues impacting gas scheduling including operational changes/restrictions, facility sales, and gas quality.
• Responsible for communicating physical operating issues to the department and respective Scheduling Representatives.
• Prepare and participate in annual performance reviews for employees.
• Responsible for setting individual and team goals that align with departmental goals and motivating direct reports to accomplish them.
• Responsible for fostering a high-performing culture, ensuring growth and development of team members.
• Respond to data requests from other areas of the company.
• Coordinate testing and system enhancements with IT and other departmental Business Process employees.
• Responsible for communication and follow through to appropriate areas within Business Management concerning issues of all the above.
