Job summary

iRecruitmd is seeking an Internal Medicine Physician (MD/DO) to provide comprehensive medical care for adult patients in outpatient and hospital settings. The role emphasizes prevention, diagnosis, and management of acute and chronic conditions with an evidence-based approach.

The position involves collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, supervision of residents and students, and a schedule that may include clinic, inpatient coverage, and call duties.

Qualifications

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
• Board-eligible or board-certified in Internal Medicine.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and consultative medical care to adult patients.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute illnesses and chronic conditions.
• Perform comprehensive histories, physical exams, and ongoing patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment and preventive care plans.
• Provide outpatient clinic care and/or inpatient consultation services as applicable.
• Coordinate care with specialists and ancillary services.
• Participate in preventive care, health maintenance, and chronic disease management.
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and lifestyle modification.
• Ensure safe transitions of care and appropriate follow-up.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Participate in quality improvement, patient safety, and outcomes initiatives.
• Supervise and educate residents, medical students, or advanced practice providers as applicable.
• Comply with all regulatory, accreditation, and professional standards.
