Coinbase is seeking a strategic Internal Communications leader to partner with People Success and shape how the CPO's vision reaches every employee through clear, well-timed communications.

You will own comms strategy for People programs, advise senior leaders on high-stakes moments, and build scalable processes including town halls, messaging, and FAQs. This role requires 10+ years of experience, executive presence, and a track record of driving engagement with responsible AI use.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in internal communications or strategic/change communications or product marketing advising C-suite or VP-level leaders.
• Proven track record producing executive-level content that drives measurable engagement or adoption.
• Executive presence and interpersonal effectiveness to influence decisions with senior leaders.
• Ability to manage a broad portfolio of concurrent initiatives across multiple stakeholders with a clear strategy.
• Experience building scalable communications processes, systems, and measurement frameworks from scratch.
• Uses generative AI responsibly with human oversight to improve workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Responsibilities

• Own internal communications for the People Success Team, including monthly town halls and leadership communications.
• Write and edit content including CPO comms, town hall scripts, and FAQs, translating People programming into clear value propositions.
• Build scalable communications infrastructure, including editorial calendars, playbooks, and measurement frameworks.
• Coordinate with the broader Internal Communications team to ensure People messaging is well-timed and aligned with the company narrative.
• Build mature comms infrastructure and use data and AI-enabled workflows to measure impact and scale work.

Coinbase is looking for a strategic, motivated communications leader to serve as the Internal Communications partner for our People Success team. With a new Chief People Officer building the next chapter of our people strategy, this role will shape how that vision reaches every employee through clear, well-timed, and compelling communications.

What you’ll do:

• Serve as dedicated Internal Communications partner to the People Success team, owning communications strategy for People programs and company-wide rollouts with a business-first, product marketing orientation.

• Advise the CPO and senior People leaders on high-stakes moments, including org changes, policy shifts, leadership transitions, and other high-stakes announcements, crafting messaging that is clear, human, and builds trust

• Own internal communications for the People Success Team itself, including monthly town halls, leadership communications, and other resources that build team awareness, alignment, and culture.

• Write and edit range of content, including CPO comms, town hall scripts, company announcements, and FAQs, translating People programming into clear value propositions for Coinbase leaders and employees.

• Build scalable communications infrastructure, including editorial calendars, playbooks, measurement frameworks, and rhythms that support a growing People organization.

• Coordinate with broader Internal Communications team and cross-functional partners to ensure People messaging is well-timed and aligned with the company narrative.

• Build mature communications infrastructure and use data, employee insights, and AI-enabled workflows to measure impact, scale work, and continuously improve

Required Skills and Experience:

• 10+ years in internal communications, strategic communications, change communications, or product marketing, with proven experience advising C-suite or VP-level leaders on complex, high-stakes messaging.

• Proven track record producing executive-level content that drove measurable engagement or adoption outcomes, with strong writing, editing, and narrative development skills.

• Executive presence and interpersonal effectiveness, with the confidence to push back, influence decisions, and build trust quickly with senior leaders.

• Demonstrated ability to manage a broad portfolio of concurrent initiatives across multiple senior stakeholders while maintaining a coordinated, clear communications strategy.

• Experience building scalable communications processes, systems, and measurement frameworks from scratch.

• Utilizes generative AI responsibly, maintaining human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable improvements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.

Annual base salary range (excluding equity and bonus):

$205,785—$242,100 USD
