Job summary

The Division of Marketing and Communications at the University of Missouri-Columbia seeks an Assistant Director of Internal Communications to support integrated strategies that engage faculty, staff and leadership across Mizzou and the UM System.

You will lead a team, counsel partners, manage HR and Finance messaging, coordinate with the Director, develop editorial calendars, and measure campaign effectiveness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Preferred degree in communication, journalism, English or creative writing.
• Experience with internal, employee or organizational communication.
• Familiarity with content management systems (CMS).

Responsibilities

• Lead team to develop and distribute internal communications for diverse audiences.
• Support HR and Finance messaging and organizational initiatives.
• Counsel subject area leaders and align short-term plans with editorial calendar.
• Develop, implement and maintain processes to improve strategy and delivery.
