Job summary

SAIC seeks an Internal Auditor to support audit tasks and deliverables for a national program, including post-award reviews, cost proposals, and reserve analysis. The role emphasizes independence, data-driven assessment, and clear reporting to inform program management and contracting officers.

Expect to perform risk-based audits across incurred cost, indirect rates, labor rates, and other contract areas, with emphasis on cost allowability and reasonableness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of related experience; master’s and 8+ years; PHD/JD with 5+ years.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field.
• Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or MBA is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform contract audits for U.S. Government or defense/intelligence customers.
• Prepare formal audit reports with supporting documentation.
• Develop risk assessments to determine audit effort levels.
• Coordinate with audit agencies to obtain indirect rate data and information.
• Provide guidance on audit policies, procedures, and results.
