Job summary

Justworks is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor in New York City to represent Internal Audit and partner with business and risk stakeholders across financial, operational and technology risks. The role includes executing audits, advisory work, and supporting SOX initiatives.

You will interact with management, drive control improvements, and leverage data analytics to identify risk indicators, while contributing to the company’s risk-aware culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in internal audit, public accounting, finance, consulting, or information systems audit
• Exposure to financial, operational, SOX, SOC audits and technology audits
• Familiarity with COSO/COBIT and risk frameworks
• CIA/CPA/CISA preferred
• Experience interacting with multiple levels of management
• Experience with Generative/Agentic AI tools for audit workflows

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform integrated financial/operational/technology audits and special projects
• Support audit planning and Enterprise Risk Management initiatives per IIA standards
• Evaluate risks and control effectiveness, report results, and recommend improvements
• Track audit findings and ensure corrective actions are completed
• Coordinate with external auditors for SOC and financial audits
• Contribute to process improvements and continuous monitoring
• Leverage AI tools to enhance audit coverage and testing efficiency
• Interact with senior and line management on internal controls and enterprise risks
• Support risk and control awareness training
