Sompo seeks a Sr. Auditor for its North American Internal Audit team to focus on reinsurance operations, including underwriting, claims, and finance processes. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Risk Management, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of insurance or reinsurance experience preferred.
• Experience in internal or external audit and familiarity with regulatory environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute risk-based internal audits across business and functional areas with focus on reinsurance.
• Evaluate design and operating effectiveness of key controls through walkthroughs and testing.
• Perform financial and operational control testing for reinsurance processes.
• Identify control gaps, risks, and opportunities to strengthen governance and controls.
• Prepare audit reports, communicate findings to stakeholders, and support remediation.
• Build relationships with stakeholders and drive continuous improvement via analytics.
