Job summary

Swiss Re in White Plains/New York region seeks an Auditor in Group Internal Audit to apply re/insurance expertise within an audit environment. You will deliver diverse audits, identify risk themes, and provide insights to strengthen governance and controls across the end-to-end reinsurance value chain.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in external and/or internal audit, technical accounting, or claims within the re/insurance industry
• Solid knowledge of (re)insurance value chain and administration process, including governance frameworks and control environments
• Strong understanding of governance processes and controls across complex structures
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills able to convey complex findings clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality audit reports across the re/insurance value chain, ensuring timely and risk-focused outcomes
• Provide actionable insights to management by identifying improvement opportunities and translating findings into practical recommendations
• Monitor and analyze the risk landscape to inform audit planning and risk assessments
• Evaluate governance, processes, controls, and risk management practices across end-to-end reinsurance processes
• Identify and assess key and emerging risks across the value chain
• Share reinsurance expertise with audit colleagues during planning, fieldwork, and reporting
• Engage effectively with stakeholders to support transparent dialogue throughout the audit lifecycle
• Contribute to a strong risk culture by identifying themes, lessons learned, and improvement opportunities
