Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Senior Internal Auditor - Operational to lead field audits across our branch and distribution network. This remote-friendly role focuses on financial, operational, and compliance reviews under IPPF guidance.

You will coach junior staff, review workpapers, and present findings to management, while traveling 25-40% in the US and Canada as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related area; Advanced degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 4 years’ progressive experience in internal/external audit, accounting, or finance or minimum of 2 years in public accounting at a Big 4 or National Firm.
• Experience running/leading small teams.
• Certification required prior to hire date (CIA/CPA/CFE).

Responsibilities

• Integrates IPPF components into audit engagements to ensure conformance with requirements.
• Develops and drives the audit program, scopes engagements, and tests controls.
• Drafts engagement findings and drafts management reports.
• Leads audit engagements and coordinates with management on risk mitigation.
• Performs first-level review of workpapers and provides coaching notes.
• Evaluates fraud risk assessment processes and identifies discrepancies.
