City and County of Denver seeks a Senior Internal Auditor for Denver International Airport. The role focuses on operational, financial, IT and compliance audits within the IPPF framework, building relationships across business units and delivering value to internal clients.

The ideal candidate brings 3–5 years of auditing experience, professional certifications, and strong analytical skills. The position offers a hybrid schedule and competitive benefits, with a robust retirement plan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Public Administration, Public Policy, Government Analytics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Two (2) years of professional level experience auditing and evaluating business practices and processes to ensure compliance and efficiency.
• Experience with data analytics software and artificial intelligence is preferred.

Responsabilités

• Identify project scope, milestones, and completion schedules.
• Present project plans to Audit and Business Leadership.
• Perform planning activities, assess risks, and determine examination extent.
• Develop and apply audit procedures to test controls and address risks.
• Examine records to ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Prepare clear, well-documented audit work papers and findings.
• Formulate conclusions on internal controls and propose corrective actions.
• Interact with DEN Leadership and vendors as needed.
• Present Audit Reports with action plans to leadership.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
