Job summary

The Internal Auditor at Utah Transit Authority is responsible for planning, developing, recommending, and providing independent auditing services to UTA management and the Transit Commission. Conducts objective analyses and makes recommendations concerning all financial, operational, asset, development, and performance activities.

The Auditor is an officer of the Utah Transit Authority by statute and oversees contracts with vendors who assist with outsourced audits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or business required; Master’s preferred.
• Licensed CIA or CPA.
• At least five years professional auditing/public accounting experience; three+ years in supervisor/manager roles preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and provide independent auditing services to UTA management and the Transit Commission.
• Conduct objective analyses and make recommendations on financial, operational, asset, development, and performance activities.
• Manage contracts with vendors that assist with outsourced audits.
