Job summary

DICK’S Sporting Goods, Inc. in Petaluma, CA is seeking an experienced Internal Audit professional to assist the Director in risk assessment and to lead the planning and execution of financial, operational and compliance audits.

You will coordinate with technology and finance teams, perform SOX testing, develop audit programs, present findings to senior management, and help build the IA talent pool while safeguarding assets and aligning with strategic objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in business-oriented field (accounting/finance/audit).
• 7–10 years in audit, finance, risk management, or related fields.
• 5+ years in public accounting and/or internal audit.
• Experience in retail, accounting or technology sectors preferred.
• Certifications such as CIA or CPA preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products and analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and organizing financial, operational and compliance audits.
• Assist with risk-based audit plans and programs.
• Engage with technology audit teams for integrated audits.
• Draft audit reports and present findings to auditees and senior management.
• SOX testing, risk assessment, and control evaluation.
• Develop and build the IA department talent pool.
