Job summary

Tampa General Hospital seeks a Senior Audit Advisor in Internal Audit to lead complex financial, operational, regulatory, and IT audits in line with IIA Global Standards. You will plan programs, conduct fieldwork, analyze evidence, and prepare clear audit reports for management.

The role requires 5+ years in internal or external audit and certifications CPA, CISA, and CIA, with Florida driver’s license. You will supervise engagements and help advance the hospital’s risk management program.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Florida Driver's License required.
• CPA/CISA/CIA certification required upon hire or within 24 months of hire.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in public accounting/auditing or internal auditing.
• Proficiency in PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and audit management software.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design audit programs, conduct interviews, and review information with auditees.
• Prepare risk control matrices, conduct fieldwork, and test internal controls.
• Analyze audit evidence and write formal audit or advisory reports.
• Review work of peers/junior staff and manage project timelines and budgets.
• Follow up on action plans to ensure closure of open recommendations.
