Job summary

Qualifications

• Active Correctional Officer or Correctional Probation Officer certification is required.
• Seven years of full-time experience in a criminal justice agency with four years in internal affairs/investigations or IG investigations.
• Bachelor’s degree may substitute for two years of investigative experience; an associate degree may substitute for one year.

Responsibilities

• Conduct/lead internal affairs investigations and inquiries.
• Ensure accuracy and timeliness of investigations and final reports.
• Plan, lead, investigate and conduct complex internal affairs/administrative investigations.
• Investigative authority under specified Florida Statutes and IG standards.
