MISO in Minnesota seeks a Senior Engineer - Intermediate Planning to bridge long-term transmission planning with near-term operations, focusing on an 18-24 month horizon. As a Senior Engineer - Intermediate Planning, you'll help MISO bridge the critical space between long-term transmission planning and real-time operations. Your work will focus on the 18-24-month planning horizon, developing transmission and reliability strategies that support Large Load Step-Up Service while helping ensure the grid is prepared for rapidly changing system needs.
This is a highly collaborative role where you'll work across System Planning, Markets, Operations, Resource Adequacy, Generator Interconnection, and Load Integration to turn complex technical studies and system information into practical, coordinated solutions.

In this role, you'll have an opportunity to help shape how MISO responds to rapidly growing large-load demand while strengthening the connection between where the grid is headed and what it needs to reliably deliver today.
The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $127,000-$152,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.
