Join MISO in Carmel, IN as a Senior Power System Planner. You will perform 18–24-month reliability studies, coordinate across Planning, Markets, and Operations, and develop near-term strategies to strengthen transmission reliability and grid readiness.

The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $127,000-$152,000 USD annually. Base salary range for this position is included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, and qualifications/experience.

Ability to analyze complex scenarios, identify problems, evaluate data, and develop technically sound recommendations.
Strong understanding of power system analysis and transmission reliability concepts.
Experience with PSS/E power flow and TARA applications.
Related power system planning or operations experience.
Knowledge of NERC and FERC regulatory and compliance requirements.
Experience writing scripts or developing automation to improve engineering or analytical processes.
Experience with DSA tools or other power system analysis software.
