Scout Motors, a forward-looking American vehicle brand, seeks an experienced Body Interior Test Engineer to lead interior validation across seats, trim, HVAC interfaces, and cockpit integration. You will develop and execute comprehensive test procedures, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure rigorous data-driven validation across multiple environments.

The role requires 8+ years in body interior testing, a strong grasp of test standards, and hands-on data-collection with instrumentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical/Automotive/Systems Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years of experience in body interior testing or related validation.
• Experience developing objective/subjective body interior test procedures.
• Knowledge of interior durability, ergonomics, and environmental validation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and execute whole-vehicle test cases focusing on body interior systems.
• Translate requirements into executable test procedures with acceptance criteria.
• Lead vehicle-level evaluations on proving grounds and in extreme climates.
• Define test plans for seats, consoles, panels, and interior components.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to align validation expectations.
• Prepare vehicles with sensors and data loggers for interior evaluations.
• Benchmark competitors to quantify target performance in interior attributes.
• Analyze test data, generate reports, identify root causes, support fixes.
• Maintain traceability between requirements and test cases using tools.
