Job summary

Boeing in North Charleston, SC is seeking a Struct & Payload Design Engr 3 for a 6-month on-site contract. You will develop, document, and validate interior payload systems using 3-D CAD tools, coordinating with suppliers and project teams to meet program goals.

This contract role emphasizes design for manufacturing, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional collaboration within the Payloads organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering with focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace, Aeronautical or Materials.
• 5+ years of engineering experience including design, integration or certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering support and project leadership within a production system.
• Direct engagement with aerospace suppliers or airlines.
• Validate and demonstrate compliance to regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with regulators as needed.
• Design for manufacturing of aircraft cargo compartments and handling systems.
• Work under general direction and be adaptable to assignment within Interiors organizations.
