Job summary

White Crane Design: Build in Minneapolis seeks an experienced Designer passionate about residential remodeling. You will partner with Senior Designer and project team to turn ideas into thoughtful, functional spaces, guiding homeowners from the first meeting through project completion.

Responsibilities include on-site design interviews, presenting proposals, selecting materials, creating construction drawings with Chief Architect, and coordinating with builders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or associate degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or Kitchen & Bath program.
• Minimum 5 years in residential design/remodeling.
• Proficient in Chief Architect and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong collaboration and client-facing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Proactive, motivated and eager to grow in remodeling/design.
• Familiarity with BuilderTrend is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site design interviews to gather client goals.
• Create and present design proposals with Senior/Architectural Designer for alignment.
• Prepare and present material selections and design packages.
• Stay informed on design trends and source materials.
• Produce construction drawings and docs using Chief Architect.
• Manage project files in BuilderTrend for accurate records.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and project team throughout design/construction.
• Serve as a key communicator among clients, PMs, contractors and vendors.
• Respond to communications during business hours.
