Job summary

Elms Interior Design, a Boston-based luxury interior design firm, seeks a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager to lead high-end residential projects from concept through installation. You will collaborate closely with the Principal and design team, guiding clients, contractors, vendors, and staff.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in high-end residential design, strong leadership, and proficiency with AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, and InDesign.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• 5+ years of professional experience in high-end residential interior design.
• Ability to interpret and produce technical drawings.
• Strong leadership, communication and project-management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple high-end residential projects from concept to installation.
• Supervise and mentor design team members.
• Develop design concepts, furniture, lighting, color palettes, and material selections.
• Prepare and coordinate construction and design drawing sets.
• Create and maintain project timelines, budgets, proposals, and purchase orders.

Luxury residential interior design firm in Boston seeks a Senior Interior Designer / Project Manager. Candidate will be responsible for managing multiple high-end residential projects from concept through installation while collaborating closely with the Principal and design team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, design, communication, organizational, and project management skills, along with the ability to oversee multiple projects of varying size and complexity while working with clients, contractors, vendors, and team members.

Responsibilities will include managing residential interior design projects; supervising and mentoring design team members; assisting in the development of design concepts, furniture, lighting, color palettes, and material selections; preparing and coordinating construction and design drawing sets; creating and maintaining project timelines, budgets, proposals, and purchase orders; coordinating with contractors and vendors; managing procurement, order tracking, and installation schedules; and overseeing project construction administration and installations.

Job Requirements

Candidates should possess excellent leadership abilities, strong attention to detail, a refined design aesthetic, outstanding communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
