Job summary

LORNA GROSS Interior Design is seeking a seasoned Interior Designer to lead multiple high-end residential/hospitality projects. You will manage timelines, budgets, and team members while advocating for clients and coordinating with consultants and contractors.

The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of experience, strong design sense, and proficiency in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, and Adobe Suite. A corporate and travel-ready mindset is preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
• Minimum 5+ years of residential/hospitality interiors-focused project experience.
• NCDIQ Certification is a plus.
• Superior design and project management skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and graphic communication skills.
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Studio Designer, Adobe Suite, and MS Office.
• Ability to review shop drawings and submittals and create construction documents.
• Understanding and knowledge of building codes and accessibility codes/standards.

Responsibilities

• Create and direct detailed design concepts with focus on client and project goals.
• Oversee interior design process, timelines, schedules, and deliverables within budget.
• Manage multiple projects, delegate, and mentor team members.
• Coordinate with clients and contractors, liaising with mechanical, electrical, structural, lighting, and AV teams.
• Advocate for clients, understand needs, and resolve issues promptly.
• Understand the architectural design process and integrate interior concepts.
• Create drawings using AutoCAD, Sketchup, Photoshop/InDesign, and hand sketching.
