Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer with experience leading design teams for Life and Work Places projects, including a major end user Headquarters project in the Southeast.
Responsibilities
- Assist in project visioning, idea generation, and synthesis.
- Participate in design charettes, generate conceptual designs, plans, and renderings, and expand on team ideas to meet client goals.
- Contribute to holistic design ideation and documentation from concept through construction administration.
- Develop space plans aligned with the functional program, understanding and applying relevant codes.
- Create visual representations of design concepts and communicate effectively with the team and clients.
- Grow knowledge of project scope, budgets, and deliverables.
- Collaborate with disciplines to develop technical details and coordinate building systems, considering their impact on interior environments.
- Apply sustainable design principles, gather metrics, and evaluate design solutions and materials.
- Understand project delivery methods and anticipate workflow for standard deliverables.
- Take responsibility for design development, manage tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Communicate proactively, contribute to team success, and pursue continuous learning.
- Develop creative design ideas and participate in design reviews, charettes, and presentations.
- Coordinate drawings for schematic design, development, and construction documents.
- Research interior products and materials, and prepare presentation materials.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture from an accredited university.
- Professional licensure required.
- At least 8 years of relevant design experience.
- Experience in Workplace or commercial interior design, preferably within an architectural firm.
- Advanced knowledge of building codes, site analysis, and contract documents.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, Lumion, Grasshopper, and Rhino.
Desired Qualifications
- Professional accreditation in LEED, WELL, or ILFI Living Future.
- Experience with physical modeling tools like 3D printing and laser cutting.
- Skills in presentation tools such as InDesign and Photoshop.
