Job summary

HOK in Washington, DC seeks a senior Interior Designer with 5+ years of experience to lead design projects across offices, airports, hospitals, and other commercial spaces.

You will manage space planning, furniture specification, budgeting, scheduling, and client relationships, ensuring projects meet standards and are delivered on time. LEED credentials and NCIDQ or architectural license preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as an Interior Designer in offices, airports, hospitals, sports venues, schools, labs or similar.
• Must be a professional Interior Designer and have passed NCIDQ or be a registered Architect with current license.
• LEED credential required within 12 months of employment.

Responsibilities

• Conducts space planning, layout and utilization of furnishings and equipment.
• Develops design concepts that are practical, aesthetic, safe and aligned with client goals and budget.
• Manages all design phases including contracts, budgeting, scheduling, documentation, specifications and construction.
