Job summary

DG Architects, Inc. is seeking a talented Senior Interior Designer for our Sacramento office. You will drive design from concept to occupancy on sophisticated commercial and corporate projects, mentoring teammates and shaping spaces with attention to detail.

You will lead design processes, develop concepts, integrate interiors with architecture, and manage client engagement, while growing the business through presenting to prospective clients and producing compelling presentation packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and/or Architecture from an accredited design school.
• 12+ years of commercial interior design experience.
• Advanced knowledge of all interior design phases of corporate projects from conception through construction.
• Participation in construction administration and review of submittals.
• Space planning, finish selection, and specification.
• Proficiency with design communication tools (Photoshop, SketchUp, Illustrator).
• Excellent presentation skills and ability to manage multiple projects.
• Working knowledge of building codes.
• CCIDC/NCIDQ certification a plus.
• Proficiency in Autodesk Building Design Suite/Revit.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design process across all project phases with creativity and expertise.
• Develop detailed design concepts, functional requirements, and project criteria.
• Integrate interiors with architectural concepts where applicable.
• Lead interior design efforts and project teams; be the main client contact.
• Use graphics to pitch ideas, advance delivery, and expand scope.
• Contribute to marketing; lead design presentations for prospective clients.
• Prepare client presentation packages and contribute to design awards.
• Review design documents for accuracy and compliance with standards.
• Lead design reviews, brainstorming sessions, and team pin-ups.
