Job summary

Garver Interior Design is seeking a talented professional to join our Architecture & Interior Design team in a full-time role. The incumbent will lead interior design efforts from concept through construction administration, coordinating closely with architects, engineers, consultants, and clients.

Expect strong design capability, project management skills, and compliance with building codes and accessibility standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
• Current professional Interior Design license/registration in the state of practice or ability to obtain reciprocity.
• NCIDQ Certification.
• Minimum of 5+ years of professional interior design experience.
• Proficiency in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
• Strong understanding of commercial construction methods and materials.
• Knowledge of ADA, accessibility standards, life safety, and applicable building codes.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong organizational and project management abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead interior design efforts from conceptual design through construction administration.
• Prepare programming studies, space plans, design presentations, and finish concepts.
• Lead the selection and specification of interior finishes, furnishings, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E).
• Produce color boards, renderings, and presentation materials for client reviews.
• Develop design narratives and support project pursuits and interviews.
• Prepare and oversee interior design construction documents.
• Coordinate interior design documentation with architectural and engineering disciplines.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and material samples.
• Manage interior design scope, budget, and schedules.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, vendors, and contractors throughout project delivery.
• Participate in project meetings and maintain communication with stakeholders.
• Assist with construction administration activities, site observations, and punch list reviews.
• Mentor junior designers and provide design guidance.
