Job summary

ZGF Architects in Washington, DC seeks a Senior Interior Designer/Architect with 12+ years of related experience to lead projects from concept through construction administration. Strong leadership, client relations, and technical skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Professional degree in Interior Design or Architecture required.
• 12+ years of related experience.
• Deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA and construction standards.
• Detailing and execution of Revit construction documents.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite.
• NCIDQ certification or architectural licensure preferred.
• LEED, WELL or FITWEL accreditation preferred.

ZGF is seeking a passionate Senior Interior Designer/Architect with 12+ years’ experience to join our team in our Washington, DC office. We are looking for strong leaders and thoughtful designers with excellent communication and technical skills to join our vibrant and diverse culture of designers, planners, strategists, and industry thought leaders.

As a Senior Interior Designer/Architect, you will…

• Extensive experience with all aspects of interior design, including programming, space planning, and color and material research, FF&E and lighting design.
• Mentor and lead team members from concept design through construction administration
• Foster and maintain relationships with clients and consultants
• Assist in developing fee proposals and project schedules
• Participate in business development activities and advise in marketing pursuits
• Advocate for an inclusive, supportive work culture through listening, learning and acting

Qualifications:

• Applicants must have a professional Interior Design or Architectural degree and 12 years of related experience
• Have a deep understanding of building, zoning, energy codes, ADA, construction standards, and other regulatory requirements
• Detailing and execution of Revit construction documents
• Proficient 3D modeling and rendering abilities in Revit and Enscape is strongly preferred
• Proficient with the Adobe Creative Suite
• NCIDQ certification and/or architectural licensure is strongly preferred
• LEED, WELL, or FITWEL accreditation are strongly preferred

Base Salary Range

$106,340 - $145,000 annually depending on skills and experience
