Job description

Senior Interior Designer - AD100 High-End Single-Family and Multi-Family Residential

An AD100 interior design firm with a strong European presence is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to work on high-end single-family and multi-family residential projects in New York.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work under the Lead Designer on multiple projects, managing a team of 2–3 Intermediate and Junior Designers
  • Develop design concepts through SketchUp sketches, mood boards, material samples, and sketch drawings
  • Prepare drawing sets based on established design intent and develop architectural and millwork details, schedules (finish, hardware, etc.)
  • Coordinate the design with relevant consultants and ensure alignment with the construction team
  • Lead the Construction Administration phase, addressing RFIs, submittal responses, and other related correspondence
  • Represent the studio and communicate confidently with clients, consultants, and external parties
  • Oversee the production of client presentations and drawing sets
  • Liaise with the client, assisting the Lead Designer in managing client relationships and expectations

Skills & Requirements:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in an architecture and/or interior design studio
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Suite, and Revu (Bluebeam)
  • Strong background in single- and multi-family residential design
  • Experience in Construction Administration and technical drawing development
  • Ability to manage a team and oversee multiple projects simultaneously
  • Degree from an accredited interior design or architecture school
