Laura Brophy Interiors is looking for a talented and experienced Lead Interior Designer to join our team full-time in Newport Beach. This role is ideal for someone with at least 5 years of interior design experience who’s confident leading high-end residential projects from concept through completion.

We’re a creative, fast-paced studio where collaboration, adaptability, and a strong design point of view are key. If you thrive in an environment where things shift quickly and no two days are the same, we’d love to hear from you.

This role requires wearing many hats and being comfortable navigating all phases of the design process—from client meetings and sourcing to site visits and installations.

What You’ll Do:

• Lead design projects from initial concept through installation
• Effectively collaborate with clients, team and the principal designer
• Develop concepts, style boards, layouts, and materials palettes
• Produce and review technical drawings in AutoCAD
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and deliverables
• Provide guidance and support to junior designers as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of professional interior design experience
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience with Ivy + Trello is a plus
• Strong conceptual design skills and attention to detail
• Excellent organizational and communication abilities
• Ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-moving environment
• Collaborative, self-motivated, and solutions-oriented
