Job summary

Whitehall Interiors, a New York City-based interior design studio, is seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead design efforts alongside the Design Director on multiple high-rise residential projects.

You will be involved from space planning and concept through construction administration, producing hand drawings and REVIT details, and contributing to drawing sets through Design Development. Strong client communication, team leadership, and a hands-on, creative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture is required.
• 10+ years in the high-rise residential NYC market.
• Must have completed at least 5 high-rise residential projects from start to finish.
• Hospitality/hotel design experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design along with the Design Director for multiple projects.
• Involved from space planning and concept through CA phases.
• Complete drawings and details by hand and in REVIT.
• Contribute to overall drawing sets for Concept through Design Development phases.
• Think outside the box and manage multiple projects within budgets and schedules.
• Engage in value engineering and maintain strong client communications.
• Mentor and manage team members with strong interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of post-graduate experience in the high rise residential NYC market
• Musthaveatleastcompleted5highrise residential projectsfrombeginningtoend.
• Hoteldesignexperiencewouldbeaplus

• Concept design and idealization experience, modern aesthetic, formulating project storylines, mood imagery and 3D sketching
• Excellentsenseofcustominteriormillworkandstonedetailingasitrelatesaestheticsaswellasfunctionalityandbuildability.
• Excellentsenseofcolor,finishesandmaterials,anddesigndetailing.
• ExperiencedwithFF&Esourcingbothmidtoluxurylevels.
• Experiencedatsourcingfinishmaterials.
• ExistingrelationshipswithNYCvendorsisanabsolutemust.
• Interestandknowledgeininnovationandnewproducts.
• Proficient in Revit, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop & Illustrator), AutoCad, Lumion, and Enscape.

Salary Range: 80,000-110,000. The rate of pay offered will be dependent upon candidates’ relevant skills and experience.
