Then, we execute a successful design by taking an objective look at your organization and observing how you work and function within that space.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing design concepts, space plans, material palettes, furniture selections, and presentation materials that align with client brand standards and project objectives.
  • Prepare and revise construction documents, drawings, renderings, and specifications using industry-standard software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Participate in site surveys, field verification, and documentation of existing conditions.
  • Coordinate with internal project team members, across disciplines and consultants to incorporate design requirements into project deliverables.
  • Assist with researching building codes, accessibility requirements, materials, products, and industry trends relevant to retail and hospitality environments.
  • Support the preparation of client presentations, design packages, and project reports.
  • Review project documents for accuracy and completeness while incorporating feedback from senior team members.
  • Attend project meetings, consultant coordination calls, and site visits to gain project experience and understanding of the design and construction process.
  • Maintain organized project files and documentation in accordance with company standards and procedures.
  • Build positive working relationships with colleagues across disciplines and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Stay informed of emerging trends in retail, hospitality, workplace experience, branding, and customer engagement.
  • Communicate effectively, share information proactively, and contribute ideas that support project success and continuous improvement.
Qualifications

  • 5-8 years of professional experience in retail, hospitality, commercial, workplace, or related design environments.
  • Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp and Enscape required; experience with Adobe Creative Suite, and rendering software preferred.

  • Ability to interpret client brand standards and translate them into engaging customer and guest experiences.
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment while managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a desire to learn, grow professionally, and develop expertise in retail and hospitality design.
  • Experience through studio projects, or professional work in retail, restaurant, hospitality, or branded environments is preferred.
  • Pursuit of professional licensure (NCIDQ or Architectural Registration) is encouraged but not required.
