Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Interior Design.
• 5+ years of professional interior design experience on high-end residential/commercial projects.
• 2+ years of leadership experience in interior design.
• Proficient CAD skills and ability to produce construction drawings.
• Strong knowledge of Studio Designer Webware, Adobe Creative Suite, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead design projects from concept to completion, aligning with client goals and project scope.
• Mentor designers and design assistants; manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables.
• Create and present design developments, space plans, materials, and drawings.

Job Summary:

The Senior Designer will lead and manage high-profile interior design projects from concept to completion. As a key member of our design team, you will work closely with Lisa (Principal Designer), clients, oversee junior designers, and collaborate with vendors and contractors to bring inspired concepts to life. This role requires strong leadership, creative problem-solving, and a deep understanding of the interior design process. You will also be responsible for managing and recording the technical aspects of each project and ensuring that all deliverables meet overall project schedules and requirements. Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

• You will independently lead design projects for residential and/or commercial projects, ensuring creative vision aligns with Principal Designer, client goals and project scope.
• You will oversee and guide designers and design assistants throughout all project phases with oversight from Principal Designer.
• You will manage project timelines, budgets, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful completion.
• You will inform the Principal Designer of any challenges or project-related issues and attend regular meetings with Principal/Team to ensure alignment.

Client Engagement:

• You will serve as the primary client liaison, building and maintaining strong relationships.
• You will present design concepts, mood boards, material samples, and technical drawings to clients.
• You will work with Principal Designer and clients to define project requirements and develop design criteria.

Design Development:

• You will create and present innovative interior design concepts in response to client needs in collaboration with Principal Designer.
• You will develop and refine design concepts, including space planning, material selection, furniture layouts, and color schemes.
• You will use software tools to design, sketch, and create detailed drawings of proposed projects, including graphic presentations, and construction drawings.
• You will create estimates, schedules, and staffing plans to complete projects successfully.
• You will ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic, and budgetary requirements.

Technical Oversight:

• You will manage and record all technical aspects of the project, ensuring accuracy in specifications, drawings, and documentation.
• You will prepare and present design development packages and construction documents.
• You will collaborate with project managers, design coordinators, and project teams to meet overall project goals and schedules.
• You will source and specify materials, furniture, lighting, and finishes in conjunction with Principal Designer.
• You will coordinate with fabricators and vendors to facilitate project installations and meet project goals.
• You will independently conduct site visits to monitor construction progress and resolve any design-related challenges.
• You will mentor and provide constructive feedback to design team members.
• You will collaborate with the Principal Designer to develop and implement design strategies.

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or related field.
• You bring 5+ years of professional experience in interior design, with a strong portfolio showcasing high-end residential and/or commercial projects (required).
• You can demonstrate 2+ years of proven success in a leadership role in interior design.

Technical Skills:

• You bring a high level of proficiency in CAD, with the ability to perform a full range of interior design-related functions.
• Ideally, you have experience with Studio Designer Webware.
• You also have advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign) and Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Teams).
• You show ability to create graphic presentations and detailed construction drawings with your portfolio.
• You bring a strong understanding of construction documentation, materials, and finishes.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40.00 - $48.00 per hour
