Michelle Wenitsky Interior Design, a boutique interior design firm located on Philadelphia's Main Line, is seeking a seasoned, passionate, and energetic Senior Interior Designer with 10+ years of professional residential interior design experience to join our team immediately.

The ideal candidate possesses exceptional design talent and extensive experience managing all aspects of high-end residential projects, from concept development and design documentation through sourcing, purchasing, construction administration, installation, and project completion. This individual will be a confident leader, strategic thinker, and trusted advisor to clients, vendors, contractors, and team members.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead sophisticated residential design projects from concept through installation.
  • Design, select, specify, and present furniture, cabinetry, window treatments, fabrics, trims, wall coverings, ceiling treatments, floor coverings, lighting, plumbing fixtures, hardware, and accessories.
  • Develop comprehensive design concepts and presentations that reflect each client's vision and lifestyle.
  • Oversee construction administration, including site visits, document review, coordination with contractors, and resolution of design and construction challenges.
  • Design custom furniture and oversee bespoke fabrication processes.
  • Create furniture proposals, purchase orders, and invoices.
  • Manage project budgets, schedules, procurement, and installations.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and internal team members.
  • Supervise project workflow and prioritize deadlines across multiple active projects.
  • Maintain the highest standards of accuracy, organization, and attention to detail throughout all project phases.
Qualifications & Requirements
Experience
  • 10+ years of professional residential interior design experience, preferably in luxury residential design.
  • Proven experience leading complex, high-end residential projects from inception through completion.
  • Strong knowledge of furniture procurement, installation management, and vendor coordination.

  • Strong, distinctive design talent with a proven ability to lead sophisticated and complex projects.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction administration, including site supervision, document review, coordination, and problem-solving.
  • Expertise in furniture design, custom fabrication, and budget management.
  • An individual design perspective with the confidence to advocate for design decisions and recommendations.
  • Strategic problem-solving skills for both design and construction-related challenges.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to delivering exceptional work.
Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent drawing, drafting, and visual presentation skills.
