Job summary

Ellie Aiello Interiors LLC is seeking a Senior Designer to lead design projects from concept through construction administration in a fast-paced Austin, TX studio. This role oversees multiple high-end residential and multifamily projects, while mentoring project designers and staff.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in interior design, with multifamily experience, and strong leadership, client communication, and design sensibility. Travel and relocation to Austin are required, with WFH-flex hours.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of interior design experience with multifamily exposure.
• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously.
• Expertise in construction documentation and administration.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of local building codes, finishes, lighting, plumbing, hardware, furniture, and sourcing vendors.
• Ability to mentor and review work for Project Designers and team members.
• Strong client-facing communication and collaboration skills.
• Understanding of design process, color theory, and material selection.
• Ability to perform thorough quality control on deliverables.
• Willingness to travel for site visits and meetings.
• Alignment with brand aesthetics and design excellence.

Job description

We are looking for a Senior Designer to join the EAI team! This individual must have recent experience in commercial/multi-family design, documentation, construction administration, coordination and furnishings.

This individual will lead design projects from concept through construction administration, oversee multiple high-end residential and multifamily projects, and mentor staff. The ideal candidate will have exceptional design sensibility, strong leadership skills, and the ability to manage multiple complex projects.

REQUIRED Qualifications & Responsibilities:

• 7+ years of recent experience in interior design is required (MUST have experience in multifamily.)
• Proven experience managing multiple large-scale projects simultaneously
• Expertise in construction documentation and administration
• Proficiency in software such as but not limited to: Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, Microsoft 365
• Deep knowledge of applicable local building codes, finishes, lighting, plumbing, hardware, furniture, and sourcing vendors
• Ability to mentor, guide, and review work for Project Designers and other team members
• Strong client-facing skills with professional, positive communication
• Solid understanding of the complete design process, design principles, color theory, and material selection
• Ability to perform thorough quality control on all project deliverables
• Ability to anticipate project needs, take initiative, and problem-solve independently
• Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and installations

• Thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced, and small-team environment
• Degree from a CIDA accredited Interior Design program (or equivalent), in Architecture, or related field.

Compensation Package:

• Yearly bonus

Pay:

$80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• Full-time, 8.5-hour shift
• Remote/Half Day on Fridays
• Work From Home Flex Hours

Work Location:

• Austin, TX 78746 (in-person) with work from home flex hours

Ability to Relocate:

• Must be able to relocate to Austin, TX prior to start date (if not local)
